Totally unique Caribbean heat flavored hot sauce! May not go with everything but goes with most. Some of my favs to add it on are: chicken noodle soup, rice, grilled meats and seafood.

Over 25 years ago friends from Trinidad turned me on to the unique bouquet of flavors Matouks Hot Pepper Sauce. Each trip back fromTrinidad they would bring me a couple bottles of Matouks, which I’d ration! It’s the perfect thing to add when your recipe needs a little kick! And the unique flavor combination makes it difficult for people to pinpoint why my soup, tacos,eggs,etc. taste so good! And now that I can get Matouks on Amazon, no more rationing or hiding the bottle!

The heat level is not high, but the flavor is exceptional. Habanero flavor in a thicker, almost salsa-like sauce that adds substantial body and depth to just about any dish in the cooking process. It also makes a great condiment for any kind of Mexican, Tex-Mex, or similar food. Again, though … not that much heat, more of a moderate, low-key sauce on the capsaicin scale.

I love this stuff. Tried it in the Caribbean and had to have it back home. Great flavor with the right amount of spice. My package showed up perfect too. Not sure how the bottles were breaking in other comments. Mine were individually wrapped in tons of bubble wrap. Enjoy!

I tasted the product for the first time on the Island of St. Martin and quickly fell in love with…It has a nice bite but with great flavor….hot is hot…but add flavor …now that’s special stuff
