About this item FLAVOR | Los Calientes’ spicier, sweeter cousin! Los Calientes Rojo features applewood smoked red jalapenos and fruity apricots alongside the signature blend of cumin and culantro for complex sweet-and-smoky notes that enhance any dish. HEAT | A true 5/10 in heat, Rojo is hotter than the verde version thanks to an extra handful of habanero peppers. At first the fruit masks some of the spice, but after a minute your cheeks will glow from the warmth of the habanero. TRY IT ON | Cal-Mex favorites like burritos, tacos and nachos! With its signature spice blend, Los Cal Rojo also makes a killer glaze for barbecued meats and roasted veg. SOURCING | Made in small batches with responsibly sourced, non-GMO ingredients, never artificial preservatives or additives. INGREDIENTS | Peppers (smoked red jalapeno, habanero), apricot (ascorbic acid added), apple cider vinegar, agave nectar, lemon juice, tomatillo, water, garlic, salt, toasted onion, cumin, culantro, black pepper, thyme, celery seed

Smells good, tastes wonderful. Full of flavor and great comfortable heat.

The product is a good and tasty product, but you would think for the price I paid it would have a shaker top and be a bigger bottle !
Kevin S Galva –
More spicy than I though but definitely a good flavor to add on eggs or sandwiches

They say it’s in the middle-of-the-road of heat and flavor (which it is), but it’s the peak of flavor-meets-spice! We’re talking sweet and mild with a nice lingering heat! The texture is smooth and not too smokey. This is your daily hot sauce that makes pepper heads turn their heads to shamelessly look at the bottle across the street. My only gripe is that the best deal is on a 3 pack, but TOTALLY WORTH IT once you taste it. It’s the kind of awesome heat and sweet that make you wonder: “Have I been wrong my entire life? Have I unlocked the secrets of the universe by simply having this delicious hot sauce?” The answer to both is ‘Yes,’ but not in a way that makes you feel bad. It’s the warm hug your food needed on those emotionally cold days. It’s the spice that truly nice with a welcome bite back. It’s the “everything is going to be okay” to the bland food your just-starting-to-use-veggies-in-everything recipes you haven’t perfected yet. It’s seriously ‘the one,’ and you can totally have it. Treat yo self!

Best hot sauce I have ever had in my life! I use it like a condiment. I use it all the time on nearly everything.Issues – Too small of a bottle. ExpensiveNote -Heatonist website is slightly cheaper but shipping is very slow. So something to think about if you don’t have a prime or do. They charge for shipping.I you end up liking this sauce which I know you will.. Try Los Calientes Barbacoa. Its so amazing with pork/beef as a slow cook/BBQ

This stuff tastes GREAT!!! Lost a lil on versatility because it is more of a Mexican taste than your average hot sauce. I like it on anything Mexican though. YUMMY

I’ve tried A LOT of hot sauces, and this one is by far the best I’ve ever had. This stuff goes great on anything…seriously. It’s got a great balance of sweet and spice. Not overly vinegary and bursting with flavor that can go with pretty much anything you can think of. I put it on tacos, eggs, meat, fish, sandwiches, potatoes, it just really complements a wide variety of foods. The spice level is about medium to medium-hot range, so not for people with a low spice tolerance, but someone who appreciates the heat but isn’t seeking out super hot stuff and dumping gobs of that red chili sauce you find at Asian restaurants onto their plates, or eating habaneros and ghost peppers for fun. I can handle a good bit of heat, but really appreciate the middle range for the balance of heat and flavor, so this is perfect for anyone else who likes to keep it in that range and appreciates a real nice bottle of hot sauce. Especially for any of you foodies who are looking for the perfect complement to your homemade gourmet street tacos or anything like that.
