I was pleasantly surprised to find two separately sealed servings in this pouch. I initially was worried the individual servings wouldn’t be filling enough but it was just the right amount for a quick meal. This flavor was gluten free and vegan.

I honestly don’t know what true Tteokbokki tastes like. It was more of a curiosity after seeing some movies that I wanted to try it. So I ordered a bag to try. I will definitely order more. I want to try the different variations it recommended on the bag. It’s a very quick and simple to make and most important it was delicious.

There was a sign saying that it was delivered on July 8th, so I simply checked the status of the delivery. I’ve been busy with time and it didn’t arrive on the 11th, so I checked the shipping status and sent it to USPS. It’s food, so I’m worried about the ingredients that will remain in the post box for approximately 3days. I checked the condition, and even though it was in the box for 3 days, the material called rice cake did not rot. wow good.

While it’s a bit on the sweeter side, it has just enough kick to balance it out a little. I’m guessing it’s not as spicy as I’m typically used to so it can be more palatable to a wider customer base? The taste is authentic, but most importantly the texture of the rice cakes were spot on. Water and sauce thickens up just in time. One serving is a great quick snack to satiate my craving for the dish. Sufficiently chewy, not gooey/mushy.

I LOVE tteokbokki but can never find premade packages like this without wheat flour. I searched high and low all over Amazon until I found this brand. Funny enough I already buy their Gochujang from the local market so when I found these I was elated and already knew the would be quality.These bags come with two packages inside. 2x tteok and 2x tteokbokki sauce. The first one I opened had a bonus third packet. Thanks! The sauce is tasty, but definitely way sweeter than mine when I feel like making it from scratch (thanks Maangchi!). I also can’t tell if it’s less spicy than what I had in Seoul or if my spice tolerance has just gotten better. BUT! the portion size is NOT American. Not that I mind, I’m small and don’t eat as much, but I definitely have to make a full bag for babe when he wants some.These are actually perfect for me to take to work in my lunch. I’ve found the trick to microwaving them (Follow instructions with water but put them in a bowl. 1000w microwave for 2-3 minutes on high, stir once in the middle if you want to) So even though it tastes better to follow the instructions, I can now have them as a very filling meal-snack at work.

It was really easy to make, and I added some sides to it and whatnot. The comments weren’t a lie about it being really sweet though. It was some flavor in there that just made it taste kinda overpowering after a new bites. I’m sure with some veggies added it would have probably evened it out but it was still a nice try 👍🏽

I really enjoyed it. I wanted some because I have seen it on some Korean dramas. I’m not overly familiar with Korean food but I knew it has a tendency to be spicy so I bought the garlic tteokbokki. It’s sweet and spicy but really good. It has the right amount of kick for people who aren’t as accustomed to spicy food. I will 100% buy this flavor again. The instructions are super easy to use. You can make it in the microwave I think, but I made it in my pan at home and it came out perfectly.
