They are not too hot for me, but I grew up in Texas eating spicy foods. It is more of a delayed reaction reaction that hits in the throat comparable to the pepper in Taco Bell Diablo sauce.A co-worker mixed some in with regular jellybeans without telling anyone. It was his last day, but not because of the jellybeans. 😁

I got this for my husband who loves spicy foods. I even tried it though. It’s starts of sweet and gets spicy. The heat definitely end up in the back of your throat and gets you! I wouldn’t say it’s the level of stupid hot if you were trying to challenge someone but it is a good hot for a snack or treat.

If you like habaneros and you like jelly beans, you’ll probably like this. The amount of spice is very pleasant – enough to get your attention without really hurting you. If you can eat a dish with habanero in it, this is roughly that level of spice. The spice is inside the bean, so the more you chew it, the hotter it gets. The flavor is pretty decent, and there’s a nice satisfying afterburn.
