Venatius –
Super flavor. The price may seem a little high for the quantity, but it’s so potent that a very small amount will go a very long way. It adds a lot of spice with a nice garlic-forward kind of taste. I absolutely love it.

This is really really hot one drop in the Super Bowl do it.

Unless you’re total pepperhead, this is dangerous stuff. I’m Cajun and therefore used to a good level of spice in most dishes. My girlfriend’s not, so I soft-pedal the heat in my cooking. I bought this stuff to add heat on the back end. It performs that task admirably.Be careful, though. It’s thick. I tried to add a couple of drops to the last bowl of gumbo out of the pot, instead a drop, a pea-sized glob fell into my bowl, and I sweated my way through.Good stuff to have around.

Good Sauce. Spicy buy not in a super hurtful way.

I’m into extra hot sauces and this one nearly killed me the first time I put five drops (three too many) in my chicken soup. Yes, the Insanity description applies here – a real Dave makes it in a California industrial park although the label says “Costa Rica.” Instead of pepper stock, Dave extracts capsaicin liquid from peppers and uses that as his base. He adds garlic, vinegar and onions for taste. Fortunately, the sauce is so thick it is easy to pour out exactly the number of drops you want after you try it a few times and get the quantity figured out for your various foods. Like, one drop per hot wing is all it takes for me; two for most soups but stir in well. There may be hotter ones out there but this is as high as I want to go. Sufferin’ Scovilles!

it is very spicy and has good flavor. and when I mean very spicy I’m talking about over the top spice like a few drops will do the trick. 2nd spiciest I’ve tried after Da Bomb (if you guys know) but this tastes good, it has very little hint of garlic for me kinda sour and salty. very good sauce might try others from this brand. would eat this with fries, pizza, chicken wings and whatnot. thank you

I’m very pleased with this hot sauce. Any true, sauce-loving, pepper-head knows that heat must balance with flavor—and there needs to be plenty of both! I was really excited when I first opened the bottle and got a rush of habanero peppers and garlic, with mild hints of vinegar and berries. The nose was delightfully full and balanced. My first taste came when I put it on my wife’s homemade chipotle chili. I put a small drop on a good spoonful of chili (I do this to get an idea of heat, to determine how much to put in the whole bowl) and ate it. The heat came quickly and intensely. I was wondering at what point it would level out and, at just the right moment, it did. It was good and hot (I’m not a hot pepper lightweight); a smidgen amount more would’ve been, well, insane. So I added several small drops to the bowl when I started, and then a few more after I was about half way done, monitoring the heat in order to pace myself, because it could’ve gotten pretty uncomfortable (I kept it to a slight balminess, rather than outright sweating). So the heat box was confidently checked. But the garlic flavor and all the other spices, blackberry red wine, and vinegar all supported a very lively, interesting flavor profile. Nothing clashed, and nothing was too subtle. It’s satisfying from a flavor, as well as a heat, standpoint. For anyone desiring a solid, heat-packed yet tasty, versatile table sauce, this is great option. And considering the average sauces go for twice this price, it makes it that much more of a no-brainer. I look forward to trying some of their other varieties in the future.

I’ve been a fan of Dave’s Total Insanity Hot Sauce for easily over 20 years. It’s crazy hot, so I pretty much use it by the drop and there’s something about the flavor in this sauce that makes it my go-to over all the others. It’s getting hard to find, so I’m really glad I can order it from Amazon for a nice price.

This is the only hot sauce I buy repeatedly and I’ll have 20 sauces in my collection at any given time. Excellent flavor to go with tacos or shawarma, but worth using with just about anything IMO. Excellent choice of spices used. Not the hottest sauce in the Dave’s collection, but still way beyond what most people want to handle. Definitely the most flavorful I’ve had at such intensity.

It was as hot and delicious as advertised, a little goes a long way.
