I bought this as a gift for my dad who is impossible to shop for, but loves to cook…he loved it! The kit looks very professional. The bottles are glass and the spices and peppers are well labeled. As for the instructions included in the kit, the instructions include a guide to creating the “base” and provide several spice combinations you can try. However, they do not tell you specific amounts of each spice to add, only how much they recommend you add each time until it reaches the heat level you’re looking for. If you are someone who likes very detailed recipes I would still recommend this kit and then searching on google (etc.) for specific recipes to try.Bottom line…this kit is great for anyone who likes heat and loves to cook and the company provides excellent customer service. I highly recommend this product!

Bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it! Packaging is neat and tidy. The instructions are fine even though I saw negative things about them… Its just common sense. Perfect gift! We made our first bottle as a in home date night and it was alot of fun. Tastes great! Definitely recommend! This is a great gift for ALL hot sauce lovers!

I learned so much with this kit. It comes with everything you’ll need to get started from the mild to dante’s inferno. I experimented with a bunch of ingredients around the house and can now make my perfect hot sauces and something similar to lizano sauce. I didn’t know it was going to be this easy. Nothing about it is hard, but set aside 30 minutes to an hour and be prepared to let it cure for a couple of weeks. It’s fun, it’s delicious and it will add a new skill to your cooking.

Freaking fantastic. If you want to make your own hot sauce then this kit is all you need. It has everything in one box necessary to make a wide range of sauces. It is so easy to do so too. I’ve wanted to make my own hot sauce for a long time now. My birthday came and the thoughtful wife purchased this kit for me. Not fair how thoughtful she is.This kit makes it very easy to make several different flavors and heat levels of sauces. It is so much fun to add different ingredients to get certain tastes from your sauce. I’ve made serveral bottles and loved every one. It does not take long either.For the amount of fun you get and the fact that this kit has everything needed, this is well worth the money. It’s fun to take a bottle to your friends bbq and tell them you made it. It’s fun to experiment with different ingredients for different flavors and heat.With this kit you can adjust your sauce in the pot before you have a finished product to make sure it’s delicious. Could not be any easier. Truly very easy…however some of the peppers provided are very hot and you need gloves to handle them. So be careful when handling the peppers…you can get the dust on your finger and itch an eye, that would make for a long night.If you want a great gift or want to make your own hot sauce then this kit is perfect. There are even bottle stickers to label your sauce which if you are immature like me then it’s an added bonus of fun.I could not be happier with this kit.

Got this for a friend of mine who has an affinity for hot sauces. They loved it! Also… when I recently went on a trip to visit this friend, we made some hot sauce. It was fun and easy to use. We used our own gloves as the ones that come with it are those really flimsy big huge ones… like you get in the hair colour boxes. We followed the main recipe and doctored up the jerk additions to suit what we had on hand… we called it the Hawaiian Jerk Sauce hee hee. It was darn good if I do say so myself 🙂

I attached some photos from my kit and the things you’ll see, I was super excited when I got this kit. I love to make things! What I didn’t notice though is that it says it comes with everything to make 6 sauces, well read the small print because you still need to do some grocery shopping! it comes with everything to make 6 bottles of the Louisiana sauce if you want to make something thicker or a different recipe they provide you with you may need onions or garlic and tomatoes. My sauce came out kind of thin I screwed up by not reading ALL the directions first because you need to boil it and I made just enough to fill my bottle before boiling so everything missing in my bottle is what I lost during the boiling step. Gave this to a friend as a gift and we had a great time making it. The preparation wasn’t as easy as I expected (took up a lot of space in the kitchen) and not all the ingredients you’ll need come in the box. But the packet it comes with is very informative about the flavors you’re given. We went a little off the recipes and everything turned out delicious. Looking forward to using it again!

This was such a cool gift to give. My boyfriend loves making his own stuff and he also loves hot sauce, so it was perfect. The only downside is that the sauces made only last for 2-6 weeks due to not being fermented- which is fine, because the product does not say it includes pepper fermentation kits or anything. It was a really fun and exciting intro to the hot sauce world!
