I own a lot of hot sauces, but this one has a very narrow niche for me… it is THE best one to put on hummus with olive oil. I first poor fresh olive oil onto the hummus, then this into the olive oil. Weird right? Well, that’s what this one is reserved for at my house…

I had my doubts about this sauce but I was happily surprised by the flavor and comfortable heat of Ghost Scream. I am one of those who loves a good hot sauce and a lot of heat but I insist eating only hot sauces that are flavored 100% by the peppers and their own inherent heat. I do not appreciate sauces that have been doctored with “pepper extract” AKA “capsaicin extract.” I find this to be a simple parlor gimmick and not true to the art of making such kinds of sauces. Using pure capsaicin is technically cheating and the heat same across the board regardless of what hot pepper they use because all they have to do is increase the amount of extract to increase the heat. I could do the same thing to a bottle of Ketchup and it would be no less impressive than Dave’s insanity sauces. That said, I LOVE the flavor of Ghost peppers! They’re a similar to Chipotle in flavor but more complex and have an earthier umami-like flavor with a back of the mouth burn that I can appreciate. Ghost Scream nailed it! Full flavor: Check! Distinctive taste: Check! (meaning I can easily identify this by a blind taste test- to me this is a HUGE plus in my book), texture: Check! fast shipping: Check!, versatility on various dishes: Check! (my favorite so far is on Chorizo and eggs). Guys, you really did a fantastic job on this sauce and I really appreciate that you also took the time to let me know via Amazon FAQ that your sauce was not adulterated with capsaicin extract. To me that’s great customer service. You can easily tell a lot of love and time went into this product, thank you. 5 stars all around

This hot sauce has a great flavor. It has a little bit of a smokey flavor, which I really enjoy, and some kick. It is not overly spicy, if you are looking for a hot sauce to singe your taste buds this is probably not the one for you. I wouldn’t be disappointed if this was a little bit hotter, however, if you are looking for a tasteful hot sauce with a little bit of heat, I recommend giving Ghost Scream a go.

I bought this sauce a month or so ago and it was great. Ordered 2 more bottles and what a mess. One bottle arrived without the security tape over the cap and was super runny. As dumb as it sounds I tried it and it was a watered down version of the original…This isn’t good don’t buy!I contacted the folks at Ghost Scream and they were more than pleasant to work with. They explained that there are crooks (my word) out there who counterfeit products and send out watered down versions like I received. I recommend that if you want the real stuff go directly to ghostscream.com you won’t be disappointed. I looking forward to the 5 star bottles they generously offered to send out!

Ghost Scream is a great sauce. Tried it at a local tasting and had to get some more. Love it because it’s just hot enough and has this great smoky undertone that doesn’t overwhelm, just adds to whatever you’re having. Had it now on eggs and egg burritos, popcorn, and strange as it sounds it’s FANTASTIC on mayo based summer salads. Brightens everything and adds that heat/pepper/smoke that I love. Great tomato/red peppery front end like a habenero based sauce with smoke and heat that lingers just long enough.Not as hot as some other flavorless sauces like Dave’s, I don’t think it has added capsaicin (sp?) that creates that weird aftertaste you get from heat bombs.I went through a bottle I got locally pretty quick, it seems to go well with a lot of the foods we eat regularly. Refill time and got one to stash at the office for lunch.

I put this sauce on everything. Tacos, chili, enchiladas, even lasagna. I first bought this sauce in person back in 2019. Finished that bottle and had to get more. The flavor is incredible, has the perfect amount of heat, it’s not too little where you need to drown your food in it, and not too hot where if you over do it you ruin your food. The thickness is great. It’s not runny or thick where you need to slam the bottom of the bottle to get it out.

The flavor of this sauce is really incredible, it’s been my favorite ever since I first discovered it in 2018, and I’m writing this review near the end of 2020! Don’t expect blazing heat like you get from some of those sauces using genetically modified peppers or capsaicin extract. It’s hot for the average palate, but if you’re a chilihead looking for extreme heat this isn’t where you get it. Despite that, the flavor of this sauce is the real star, it improves just about anything you might happen to pair it with, and I can’t recommend it enough.

We used to live in San Clemente, CA on the same street as the chef that created Ghost Scream. When we first met him he offered us some Ghost Scream from his supply and we’ve been hooked ever since. Ghost Scream is not in the same category as hot sauce and it should never be compared as such. It packs plenty of heat but the real punch comes from the complex flavor profile. I’m a bit of a foodie and I can’t stand the traditional vinegar laden hot sauce but this one is in a whole new category and it makes everything taste amazing. A word of caution though. It’s hot so a little dab will do ya’! These days we are ordering all the way from Nashville, TN and we keep running out. We even give it away as gifts to our friends.

In all seriousness, this hot sauce changed my life. I didn’t even think I liked hot sauce before because they’re often too vinegary or peppery without any real depth of flavor or heat. I bought this for my husband on a whim at a local farmer’s market and ended up using most of the first bottle myself. Now this is a staple in our household and I make sure no one wastes even a single drop. I put it on almost everything I cook and also have tried the garlic paste and the jam. All excellent!
