Rick Murphy –
Been using this hot sauce for years. We used to get it when we cruised. All I have do now is order it and we get it without a cruise a lot cheaper

Since discovering this sauce while a guest at a destination wedding in the country of origin about 10 years ago, I have imported this sauce along with several other of their sauces. Delighted it is now available with no additional shipping costs.

I have been ordering cases of this stuff for years. It’s always a pain to find storage for the box. My son told me Amazon had it. Problem solved. It’s about the same price when I had to pay shipping for a whole case.

Found this hot sauce at a taco shop and loved it. It’s got the heat for sure but it also packs a very nice flavor. But you can definitely over do it if your not ready for the heat lol

I really love Marie Sharp’s hot sauces because they taste amazing. Unlike so many other hot sauces which either taste like vinegar or seem to exist only to inflict pain, this sauce brings some heat while providing a solid flavor enhancement. There are hotter and milder versions of this sauce, but I find the Beware sauce has the best blend of flavor and heat to be able to use on a wide variety of dishes.

That’s not a terrible thing because that means I can use more being that I now have two large bottles of Marie Sharps Beware Comatose Hot Sauce. I first tasted it on a spoon with a glass of water and piece of bread on the side but I needed only the hot sauce and not the rescue attempts. The color is a lovely orange and the viscosity is what I’d call in the midrange of hot sauces. Because there are so many seeds, a shake is sometimes necessary to get it out of the bottle. I’ve never been to Belize but read up on Ms. Sharp, an impressive woman, so I was happy to try her product. Women owned businesses there need promotion and fortunately, this hot sauce is rather tasty. I’d buy it again.

In the early years of the 21st century, I found myself in Belize, near the Guatemalan border, on business. I was already an aficionado of hot and spicy food, but Belize’s take on hot and spicy… well… it changes a person. Plenty of restaurants keep a dish of sliced, pickled habañero peppers at the table, but every restaurant has Marie Sharps, though it’s hard to find anything more potent than the XXX hot sauce. “You can’t handle more than that,” I was told. I had to wait until I was back in the United States to acquire the XXXXX hot sauce.Like I said, it changes a person.Marie Sharps has an excellent flavor. I worried that the carrot base would distract from the natural flavor of the habañero, but I find that it enhances the citrus zing of the habañero… assuming you’ve acclimated to the heat and can experience the flavor over the burn. That said, Marie Sharps five levels of sauce provide a convenient curriculum for the avid fire eater, so whether you go for the X, XX, XXX, XXXX or XXXXX sauce, you’re in for flavor and experience. It’s great by itself or cooked into a dish.

I think Marie Sharps Habanero sauces are the best in the world, among them this is my current #1.I first tried original Marie Sharps Habanero over 10 years ago. That line has been a staple ever since.Over time I have been given (or tried on my own) hotter versions of the original as they were released, and each time I got to revisit the pure pleasure combination of flavor and heat that this sauce provides. This version, which is their regular habanero but using only select habanero peppets, is my current favorite among virtually all hot sauces. While some other sauces excel at niche purposes, this is my favorite all purpose sauce when looking for a step up from your typical Louisiana based pepper sauce. When it comes to pure sauce flavor, this beats all those others, hands down.I provided a picture of my two closest favorites to this sauce, with a comparable heat range (in my opinion). You can’t go wrong with any of these, but notice the larger size bottle of Marie Sharps, which was ordered in a pack of two. That says something. For the novice chile-head, start with the original Marie Sharps Habanero sauce, then workyour way up. For crazy people, say hello to your all purpose sauce. For those who simply want pain, order some pure capsaicin crystals and follow your prescribed doctors orders to avoid death. This is for flavor, not pain.

Delicious ! My favorite by a wide measure. May be too hot for some, but packed with flavor.

Got hooked on Marie’s hot sauces many years ago after spending a months vacation in Belize (Ambergris Caye, mainly). Restaurants/small food stalls I attended throughout the country had it handy and I found it ubiquitous – all, including locals, loved the stuff. So fresh and delicious. This is NOT your typical Tabasco sauce, which I also adore, but such a treat for those of us who really appreciate a nice, fresh sauce with Flavor, body & heat. Yum!
