About this item This is a rich flavor consisting of large selections of premium seafood ingredients such as mussels, clams, and cuttlefish. Unique thick udon-style noodles that have a pleasant texture that cannot be found in other instant noodles within the market This is a bold and hearty dish, probably best prepared at home where you snuggle up with a knit sweater and watch your favorite show. There are bold hits of garlic, then subtler notes of mussels, and classic flavors of the sea permeate throughout. It would be pretty incredible with a bit of fish cakes dropped in afterward.

10 reviews for Nongshim Neoguri Spicy Seafood with Udon-Style Noodle, 4.2 Ounce (Pack of 16)

So the main appeal of this product is the thicker noodle size and the seafood taste in the broth. Typical Korean ramen broth is beef based. People either are diehard fans of Neoguri or they hate it and prefer the traditional Korean ramen, so be advised that this isn’t for everyone. I enjoy the seafood flavor and the thicker noodles as I am a fan of Udon. Also the thicker noodles allow more time before getting soggy. Cook this bad boy up, add some scallion, bean sprouts, crab meat, mushroom, and you got yourself a gourmet meal.

So I finally got around to trying this noodle dish, and it was very good! I figured it would be a typical ramen noodle soup, but it isn’t. Much more flavorful and satisfying. I was also concerned about the spiciness. It’s definitely spicy, but no where near as spicy as I thought it was according to reviews. I don’t like overly spicy stuff, but I never even broke a sweat with this soup, despite using the entire contents of both packets. Filling, satisfying, and great taste! Win, win, and win! I will be sure to keep roasted vegetables around to further enhance this soup.

Favorite instant noodle.Nice texture and flavor that fits my budget.I like this style better than other Korean instant ramen – it has thicker noodle and lessor hot flavor. It takes a bit more of time to cook but worth waiting – seafood flavor that is delicious.

I know for most Shin Ramyun is the star of the show but I sort of “found” Neoguri the same day I “found” shin ramyun around 20 years ago when I happened to find them in a stop & shop in the asian foods section. I was already a big fan of ramen and I had a couple that werent just top ramen or maruchan, but nothing like these. For me, I also kind of shifted more toward shin ramyun over time but Neoguri is sort of the other side of the same coin and every bit as good, and special and amazing. And here I am 20 years later and my own kids are eating Nong shim noodles and my wife ALSO loves Neoguri and she didnt even like spicy food that much when we married…. so that tells you something about how good this stuff is and how it can win a person over. That said- to describe these noodles Id say imagine shin ramyun (hard to explain this if you havent had a korean style spicy ramyun) but with a seafood spin and bits of flat seaweed/kelp in there, and the noodles are thick and chewy, not like a real fresh udon but a big increase in girth over a normal ramen noodle. Its milder than shin ramyun but no slouch at all. There is a mild version out there too but thats not what Im reviewing so Ill leave that one out of this and suggest this ramen to anyone with a taste for something spicy, but no so spicy that you dont taste the flavors (like some of the samyang noodles). Great any time , great for camping , great when you have a cold or alergies and want to clear yourself out, great for a quick lunch or lunch at work if you are able to boil it there (unless your coworkers are jerks and hate good smells), Just good, and one of the pinnacles of instant noodles in my opinion.

These noodles rock! They are off the chain!

Good noodles and good spice pack (a little spicy without burning the house down, lol) Wasn’t as big of a fan as i thought i would be with the shimp flakes, it ended up bringing too much oceany flavor to the dish. I found i liked the ramen alot better by adding a lessened amount of flakes or just not adding them at all. Hope this info is helpful to someone🍜

Good for a thicker noodle. Like most korean instant noodle, its a bit spicy but didn’t feel overwelming to me. I feel I can get tired of the artificial ‘seafood’ taste if I eat this everyday unlike Shin Ramyun or Indomie Mi Goreng but in rotation with these two, it doesn’t bother me at all.

Love the extra thick noodle, one of my favorite Korean noodle.
