I ended up buying this chip to eat with a friend but he chickened out so I end up eating the whole thing. I threw up and blacked out. I was yelling in pain and rolling on the ground. I honestly felt like I was going to die but hey I maned up. Although I could have lost my life that day I will say it was fun and I do recommend. The taste was horrible I would gag looking at it because I would remember the taste. What I’m saying is, yes get it.

I thought I was gonna die. First biting into it, it was stale and had the taste of the grim reaper. I thought man this tastes nasty, but the spice ain’t that bad. 1 min passes and I’m still tryin to swallow the chip. The spiciness is rising. I wanted to spit it out but I had all my friends on FaceTime with me. I finally got it down and made all kinds of weird noises due to the heat. I had to run into the kitchen and suck on some ice. It helps if u constantly keep moving the ice in your mouth. I went through 10 cubes of ice but it wasn’t going away. Is was just a second of relief. Then I remembered acidic things counteract spiciness. So I grabbed a whole lemon, cut it into 4 pieces, and sucked on the lemon juice and just eating it. I barely even tasted the sourness cause the heat was so overwhelming. Eventually my mouth stopped burning and only my lips hurt. I go back to my Xbox to play some nba 2k23 with my friends. Got through 1 game of rec. Lost against a whole team of bots. My stomach started hurting but it wasn’t that bad so I stayed in the lobby for the next game. Game starts, 1 min in I get insane pain in my stomach. It wasn’t even the feeling of having to take a dump. It felt like my insides were melting. I quickly dashboarded and ran to the bathroom. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the toilet. U started puking up all kinds of shades of green. I threw up for like 20 min straight. Even when I had nothing left in my stomach I was just throwing up without having anything come out. Eventually it stopped and I felt all better a few min later… That was the worst experience in my life. I don’t regret it since I’m feeling fine now, I did regret it when I was in a fetal position. I would absolutely never do this again and I wouldn’t wish this pain against my worse enemy

I’ve literally never written an Amazon review- I’m compelled to post this for other dads.I found out about this from my 13 yr old (of course.) She is very smart and risk-averse. I, on the other hand, am neither, and she thinks it’s hilarious when I break ribs snowboarding or dive off cliffs (into water) or show her old pictures of me riding bulls. She asked if I would do it and of course I acquiesced.I watched all the videos. I saw Tony Hawk do it like a champ with no milk until 3:00 in. I was prepared.I like reasonably spicy food. I put Tabasco on everything. I love real Mexican food. But I hate onions and garlic, so I probably don’t have the most diverse palate. But I do have a very high pain threshold (so I’ve been told.)That said, here’s my honest take:You eat the chip, and make sure that your kiddo is rolling for their TikTok. You stick your tongue out to prove it’s blue. It tastes terrible. It’s kinda chemically, kinda stale tasting.30 seconds in, it’s very spicy. 1 minute in, it hurts- maybe 6/10 on the pain scale. It hits your esophagus and you get the hiccups. It hits your stomach and it burns like 5/10. Burps are terrible. Your eyes water *a lot* and you start sweating. 2 mins in, you get the “body shock.” it’s weird, but its like your whole body is electric, and your nerves are raw.At 4:00 in (because I wanted to beat Tony Hawk,) I finally reached for the milkshake, milk, and apple juice that I had prepared. that ended it pretty quick.I’ve had real wasabi and Indian food that was hotter, but it didn’t make it “fun” in the traditional sense. As I told my mom- “it’s not dangerous, it’s just uncomfortable.”I felt mostly normal after about 15 mins. And the most important question- everything was fine during my…morning constitutional the next day. It’s a fun parlor trick. It hurts, but its not intolerable. And it will make your kiddos laugh, which is, I think, the point of this. If I were still in a fraternity, I would think that this would be the equivalent of “bros icing bros.”You can do it.

Finally did the challenge yesterday evening. I’ve successfully completed several hot-wing challenges offered by local establishments and buffalo wing chain restaurants, but have never attempted a chip challenge before. THIS CHIP IS SERIOUSLY HOT! Initial goal was to attempt to hold out for 10 minutes after eating the chip before drinking or eating anything. Was able to last 30 minutes although I wasn’t expecting to. I believe that my preparation was key. Although I generally maintain a healthy diet, I ate a hefty portion of fried chicken, mac-n-cheese, and yogurt for lunch (about 5 hours before the chip) to barricade the stomach. Also had a chocolate pudding about an hour before eating the chip. (A coworker who did the challenge on an empty stomach likened it to being punched in the gut by a pro boxer.) I did not find the aroma or flavor offensive as did most others, but I still wouldn’t describe it as “tasty.” The mouth and throat burn built quickly and intensely to a level I had not experienced before, almost readying me to grab the milk and ice cream right there, but after around 5 minutes or so it began to trail off. The burn was then primarily felt in the chest and stomach, although I believe it was significantly tempered by the preparation mentioned before. Not sure if I could have gone an entire hour. Felt satisfied enough having lasted the half hour, so after about 38 minutes I reached for the ice cream which gave immediate relief to the lingering burn. So, to sum it all up – this chip manages to pack an incredibly powerful punch and serious heat for even seasoned hybrid pepper fans. Everyone’s idea of what is “hot” varies, and everybody reacts differently to spicy foods and products, so exercise strict caution with this challenge. I personally would recommend this challenge only to aficionados of Habanero hybrid peppers, sauces, and spices.

I don’t know where to start. I’ve been on a spice kick lately trying to experience something new. I’ve tried all of the hottest commercial sauces, Mad Dog, Last Dab, you name it. I’ve even tried Carolina reaper straight from the plant. They’re all very hot, but nothing unmanageable. Before buying this chip, I thought to myself – how spicy could this thing possibly be? Probably just some internet fad for low spice tolerance people to make a cute video about. After all, I’m a seasoned veteran that has experienced it all. Here’s how it went:30 Seconds: Tasted disgusting but I got it down. Nowhere near as hot as I thought it would be. What a joke, just an online trend like I expected.1 Minute: Okay, starting to feel it now, definitely at the threshold of the hottest things I’ve tried…but it keeps getting hotter?2 Minutes: Ego shattered. Mind in panic mode – wtf did I just eat? How is this even legal? The pain is excruciating and I’ve had enough. I just want it to end.10 Minutes: Throwing everything I can think of into my mouth to stop the pain. Juice pops, ice, water, milk, you name it. Deeply regretting how casually I ate this chip on a Tuesday evening. I can feel the heat spreading throughout my body and I’m starting to get delirious. Frantically look up reviews online – should I be concerned??1 Hour: Mouth burn has died down, but now I’m experiencing extreme stomach pain. Preparing to call in sick tomorrow morning. The pain is intense like nothing I’ve ever felt and it comes in waves – deeply regretting my decision and considering going to the ER.Next Day: Called in sick, frequent bathroom trips, and excruciating pain every time.1 week: I’m getting acid reflux and heartburn every time I eat anything acidic (orange juice, fruit, etc.) or even the mildest spicy foods. This chip has humbled me. I threw out my hot sauce collection and decided to get a new hobby. To any potential buyers – please know what you’re getting yourself into. This isn’t a one-and-done spice experience, you’ll be feeling it potentially for 12 hours – 1 week.

Was a pretty great experience with a friend but if you do not have a spice tolerance even if you think you have a spice tolerance rethink itI can eat ghost peppers by the handful in this still knocked me on the floorHad no issues until 3/4 way through the time limit and made the mistake of blowing my noseThat’s when my eyes started to tear up from the spices and my nose started to feel like it was bleedingAlso it’s kind of obvious but don’t lick your lips and make sure to consciously think about not liking themTldr: feels like battery acid and razor blades on your tongue

  7. Tsukiakari

I preloaded with ice cream and milk. Went in for the chip and the burn reached maximum in a few minutes. I swished and drank milk until I couldn’t drink anymore. Then I sucked on ice, which was surprisingly effective at keeping the burn down a bit until it became bearable for me at about +25 minutes. The burn was mostly gone around +45 minutes, but I could feel a rumble in my stomach for about 36 hours. The chip turns your tongue blue, which is kinda fun, but it tastes awful.I had to try it because I eat a lot of spicy foods and I wanted to be able to say I did it. I think I’m good on the One Chip Challenge for the rest of my life, though. If you like spicy and you hate yourself, this is definitely for you!

  8. badawson2002

I thought this would’ve been salty while being hella spicy but boy was I wrong. This chop tasted absolutely horrible or better yet, disgusting. But the spiciness was there don’t get me wrong. Once you take a bite, it kicks in immediately. I had to drink for cups of milk while eating the entire thing. That’s how bad it was for me.I’m only giving this 5 stars because it was the most spicy chip I’ve ever had.Edit: Seriously do not eat this, I had diarrhea for the rest of the day and the next day

  9. Akinwale459

My friends challenged me to do it because they thought I would fold very easy to this challenge despite me telling them it’ll be easy. So I showed me doing it for them and had them count me down for 5 minutes and honestly, I was disappointed. VERY DISAPPOINTED! IT WAS NOT HOT ENOUGH FOR ME. It was hotter chewing it than swallowing it and waiting for it to kick in.It was so disappointing that I started spicy food to actually feel something out of this wasted money of a tortilla chip. Honestly, if you’re accustom to eating ghost peppers regularly like me most of your life, this chip is not for you. This thing will disappoint you. But it certainly is not for the weak hearted. Better have drinks just in case you do challenge this thing.

  10. Thomas Lemon

The chip’s flavor is abysmal, but that’s not why people like you and me buy things like this. We strive to overcome the pain and the suffering, to rise as demigods among mere mortals, clutching the porcelain shrine as we send up tearful prayers of endless dry heaving in the hopes of transcending into ethereal beings.Don’t buy this chip thinking you can handle spice if the hottest thing you’ve eaten is a habanero. You will not have a good time. The mouth burn is pretty intense, but dissipates within five to ten minutes. The worst thing is the absolute rock you feel in your stomach. I can handle the burn, but the stomach pain/discomfort just isn’t worth it anymore. I probably won’t do this challenge again, but if you want to prove you can do it, then by all means…
