   I always wondered why certain Mexican dishes had a taste that I could not place. I have tried so many different hot sauces, salsas, etc. But finally ran into this, Perico Verde. To me it’s a medium hot. Has a great, I guess, green pepper taste. But it is the odd taste I was looking for that I liked in many Mexican dishes, wraps, etc. If you have ever ate a hot pepper fresh off the vine. You will know the type of taste that I mean.

   Its spicy, just a little sweet from the jalapenos, and not very acidic. Compliments every meal and I dont know how I went so long without it.

   It’s so hard to find a green hot sauce that isn’t too spicy and that doesn’t have lemon or lime in it. I’m so glad that this hot sauce has no lemon flavor and a great spice level! It’s spicy enough to put on tacos and migas, but not too spicy that it forces me to stop eating the dish. It gives great jalapeno flavor and is great for dishes like migas or to spice up your green spaghetti. I love it.If anyone knows about Delia’s Tamales, this is like a less spicy version of that. And it’s spicier than the green salsa at Taco Palenque. I hope that helps even one person out there.It is a little weird that it doesn’t come hermetically sealed. If you’re worried about hygiene and proper health regulations, then, yeah, I wouldn’t recommend this for you. I decided to take a chance and go for it. I put it on practically everything for two weeks and practically used up the whole bottle. It’s been about a month since then, and I haven’t seen any dramatic declines in my health. So do with that what you will.

   Soooo good! Put this on everything- such a good compliment to food! The perfect amount of heat without being overbearing.
