While I prefer the stronger Franks on wings and the more subtle Tobasco for gumbo, Texas Pete is the perfect all around American hot sauce for pretty much everything else. I bought these little packets for backpacking after feeling guilty about hoarding them from Chick-fil-A. Is it weird to use Texas Pete on mac & cheese?

We have always had bottles of Texas Pete hot sauce at home, then the pandemic hit and when we were able to get to go food from Restraurant’s we found that we could never could get the hot sauce that used to be in the restaurant, so I started buying these and we always keep some in the car and I have some in my purse!

I bought these packets to serve with empanadas I made for a Covid-safe garage breakfast. Everyone received a to go bag with a full breakfast and these packets. They weren’t real hot flavored and that was good because I knew most attendees wouldn’t have wanted that. They were delivered quickly and they were a fun addition to my breakfast bags.
