For us, it’s not a race to be the biggest, nor will we cut corners to be the cheapest. We’d much rather focus on making a hot sauce that is almost 90% peppers, and all American grown/made. Danger CloseDanger Close is a magical blend of red cayenne and orange habanero peppers. We think it’s the PERFECT sauce for making buffalo wings–it packs a strong cayenne flavor, but also brings a solid backdoor kicker of habanero heat. While it is a top secret blend of cayenne and habanero, just like the rest of our sauces, they’re all American-grown and 86% of what’s in there is pure pepper goodness. Excellent sauce! Great real pepper flavor! It’s not drowned in salt and vinegar like a lot of hot sauces are. ‘Dead Red’ and ‘Danger Close’ have very respectable heat levels and ‘Shock & Awe’ packs a punch of heat that’ll definitely get your ‘salute’. A little pricey for me but definitely high quality sauce that’s a treat to get once in awhile and also a great gift for any pepper heads you love.

Smoke Hall Foods is true to their word and their customer service is impeccable. Due to COVID and the 2020 US Postal service situation, my package got lost in the mail. Smoke Hall responded to me immediately, on New Years Eve nonetheless. They asked that I wait until the following Monday to see if USPS would catch up. When Monday came, they emailed me, checked on the status of my package, and told me that they had shipped a replacement (with another carrier). Arrived within 2 days. Now, about the sauces – I’m not a hot sauce fan (I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend), but I did try them. Dead red is a solid medium hot sauce. Enough kick to feel the heat and still taste all the flavors. Danger Close is my boyfriend’s favorite. Shock and Awe holds true to its word. It’s shockingly HOT! Very happy to support small businesses in addition to military and veteran families. We will be ordering these again in the future.
