This is a really fun set, great for a gift for that friend who loves hot sauces. At $35 it is reasonably priced.The packaging is nice and presents the sauces well. We had a lot of fun with this one evening with a few friends seeing who could tolerate the heat. I do feel like it is missing a number eleven that is a tiny dropper of something anyone regardless of their tolerance would find painful but these did a pretty good job of getting there. Thoughtfully Gifts Hot Sauce Challenge puts forth a very impressive first impression with their presentation package. The 10 hot sauces are beautifully presented and securely packaged in its gift ready box. Each hot sauce is clearly labeled in the box with its name, as well as, what number it is based on from its heat intensity. The manufacturers even included the heat level number on the back of each bottle label with its correlating Scoville number. The bottles vary in size and shape with the smallest bottles (which happen to hold the two hottest sauces) weighing 0.7 fl oz and the other bottles ranging from 1.5 fl oz to 4.2 fl oz. The bottles allow the user to pour the hot sauce straight out. There is no drip dispenser top so there is no need to shake the bottle and wait for drops of hot sauce to come out. What I enjoyed most about these hot sauces was how each hot sauce had a distinctive and delicious flavor. They weren’t just hot and spicy. They each were nuanced, well balanced, and the heat is present and gradually builds up. If you are looking for hot sauces that requires a waiver to be signed in order to eat it, this honestly isn’t going to be the hot sauce challenge for you. You would probably enjoy two of the sauces immensely and feel that the others were not hot enough. This challenge is for those that enjoy hot sauce and who want to experience a hot sauce challenge from the comforts of their own home. The sauces are made with a vinegar base and a variety of peppers. The only chemicals are xanthan gum and guar gum. The manufacturer notes that the all of the sauces are products of the USA and bottled in China. The products are exclusively designed and distributed by Modern Gourmet Foods in Irvine, CA. The set I received has an expiration date of October 2022. I eat hot sauce regularly and enjoy the heat as an accent to my food. I really enjoyed Thoughtfully Gifts Hot Sauce Challenge and recommend it.

The presentation of this kit is really striking, and it would make a great gift. Some of the sauces are pretty good, but the others are just garden-variety Tabasco-type clones.The heat in the bottles do not seem to scale by the listed order or values in all cases. Sometimes a higher-numbered bottle has less heat than lower numbers.None of these would be challenging for someone who is accustomed to spicy foods, so it’s going to be more fun for someone with a more sensitive mouth. Even the #10 Ghost Pepper sauce was only marginally spicy to me. Also, the heat from all of these bottles is short-lived. You won’t feel the heat for very long afterwards, so it’s better for those who find them too hot.A few of the bottles are very tasty.The #1, Garlic Herb, is pretty good, but it’s more of a tangy garlic sauce with very little heat.The #6, Mango Habanero, has a fruity initial taste, and a medium-heat that builds up a bit after you taste it.The #8, ‘Fiery’ Cayenne, is my favorite of the batch. There is a nice, smoky flavor, and the heat is ramped up a bit. I could buy a bottle of this sauce by itself.#5, Apple Whisky, is really the only other one with a unique flavor, but it has very little heat. It has an initial tangy sweet-and-spur flavor, then it turns to a spicy vinegar.The rest of the bottles that I didn’t specifically mention are just versions of a vinegary hot sauce with varying degrees of heat.I’m rating this with 5 stars because of the attractive packaging and variety. The mediocre sauces are balanced out by the good ones, and this would be a great gift or something fun to pull out for a challenge for some hot sauce novices.

I purchased this and gave as an early gift to my brother to share with the family. It was really fun to take turns trying sauces at dinner and made for a really great family activity for a good bit of time. The pricepoint seems a little bit high since they aren’t all full sized bottles but in the end was worth it for the experience.

I loved watching various famous people spitting out snot and boogers trying to hold back their tears while eating chicken wings and humble pretend about how spicy they are. And I love how most episodes end with the sauces as the clear winners. So to have an all-in-one package such as this, it’s a perfect gift for someone else, or yourself.You should know nothing goes up to the 200,000-500,000 scale of spiciness, but I don’t think I’d ever want to try any such myself, let alone subject it to some poor friend. But they would make a great conversation piece over a bucket of Popeye’s. Even though I love spicy foods, and had specifically sought out such specific cultural dishes to every country I’ve visited, with this I just sprinkle a few drops just for the flavor. For the uniqueness of the flavor, my favorite is the Mango Habanero as it’s more sweet than spicy, but for real hot sauce tastes, the Garlic Herb and the Garlic Del Fuego offer more traditional spiciness flavors (or maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for garlic). The price is just perfect as a gift – not too expensive for you to spend, and not too cheap for your recipient to sneer at.

I was SUPER impressed with this gift set. If you are looking for the perfect gift for the guy that has everything, this is certainly something to consider. Not only does it contain all kinds of delicious, spicy goodness, the presentation is very nice, too.You get a nice assortment of different hot sauces – some are quite mild (for spice wimps like me) and a few are quite hot. I am NOT a huge fan of mouth scorching heat so the Garlic Herb and Voo Doo Apple Whiskey were more up my alley. They had some heat but didn’t overpower the food that I used them on.The Ghost Pepper…. OH MY!! That one was HOT!!!! Eye watering hot for me. Even my spicy food loving husband thought that one was incredibly hot.His favorite was the Bacon Jalapeno and Mango Habanero. Nice balance of flavor and heat.Be careful when first pouring out the hot sauce. Some hot sauce bottles make it so that only a few drops come out at one time. These allow for full on pouring, LOL. Needless to say, the first time I opened a bottle, I poured a bit too much. Yikes!I would say the majority of sauces in this set are on par with your mainstream hot sauce brands in terms of heat level. Not many of them are super scorchers!!! Each had their own distinct flavor which made it fun trying them all. Wonderful set!

First, let me start off by letting you know that I am part of the Amazon Vine Program so Amazon did send this product out to me for review. If you love a good hot sauce or know someone who does this is the perfect hot sauce gift set to pick up. This hot sauce gift set came in a great package setup with very details info about each sauce. Each bottle is a nice size with multi usability and they taste great. I loved every one of these hot sauces, with each bottle having their scoville written on each bottle. The labeling on each bottle were perfect and every bottle truly has it’s own taste. The taste can range from Smokey to Mango on to Cayenne and more. I recommend this hot sauce set, I’m actually going to be ordering me one for myself just to have another one.
